Offers to buy your books
Our offers are free and carry no obligation. An offer is based on what we see and can change if the books differ from the photos or description. A sale is final once we’ve paid and collected the books.
Appraisals
We quote a flat fee before we start. Values are our professional opinion based on comparable sales, not a guarantee of what a book will sell for. A tax-deduction appraisal over $5,000 needs a qualified appraiser under IRS rules; tell us if that’s your goal.
Buying from us
Books are described as accurately as we can, including condition. Online orders are paid through Stripe at checkout; if a book sells elsewhere at the same moment, we refund you in full. A hold request is not a sale until we confirm availability and you pay. Shipping is charged at USPS rates; local pickup is by appointment. If a book doesn’t match its description, contact us within 14 days for a return.
Text messages
Emporia Collectio messages: when you text or call our business number, or give us your number on a form or booking, you agree to receive texts about your request, such as replies, offers, appointment confirmations, reminders and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; we’ll confirm and stop. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@emporiacollectio.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase or sale. See our privacy policy.
