Emporia Collectio LLC (“we”, “us”) buys, appraises and sells books in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan. This policy explains what we collect through emporiacollectio.com, by phone, text and email, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us: your name, phone, email, town, details and photos of your books, and your messages, when you fill in a form, book a pickup, text, call or email us.
- Orders and holds: the book you want, how you’d like to pay or pick up, and for shipped orders your name, address and phone. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you join The Magpie’s Letter.
- Basic technical data: our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security. We don’t use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
How we use it
Only to run the business with you: to reply to you, make offers, schedule pickups and appointments, send reminders and follow-ups about your request, process sales, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep records the law requires.
Text messages
If you text or call our business number, or give us your phone number on a form or booking, we may text you about your request: replies, offers, appointment confirmations and reminders, and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with anyone for their marketing. Text opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages for us.
Who else sees it
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run the business, and only as needed: website hosting and email (Cloudflare, Google), our customer messaging and booking system (HighLevel/LeadConnector), and payment processors (such as Stripe or Square) when you buy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for your request and our records, then we delete it. Ask us any time and we’ll delete your details unless we must keep them, for example for a completed sale.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, unsubscribe from any email using its link, and stop texts by replying STOP. Our services aren’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
