About this book
Memory Chest
By Orrin Alden DeMass
Published by the author, Detroit, Michigan; printed in 1948 by Great Northern Printing, Cheboygan.
A vintage collection of poetry with a handwritten dedication signed “Orrin.” This modest, privately published volume is a lovely find for readers of nostalgic verse and collectors of Michigan literary history.
Bound in tan leatherette with green cover lettering. The printing page describes sepia text on Indian Laid Kilmory paper, a thoughtful touch that gives the book its warm period character.
Condition: Light cover rubbing and soiling, modest edge wear, and age toning. No dust jacket.
