Large antique bilingual reference dictionary containing French-to-English and English-to-French vocabulary, technical and scientific terminology, pronunciation guidance, irregular verbs, idioms, and other language reference material.

Original period binding with a brown leather spine, raised bands, gilt lettering, and marbled paper-covered boards. The spine remains particularly attractive with clearly readable gilt “COLLOT’S DICTIONARY” and “FRENCH AND ENGLISH AND ENGLISH AND FRENCH.”

Condition is worn and should be considered a reading/collecting copy. Leather shows substantial rubbing, scuffing, dryness and surface loss. Boards and corners show heavy shelf wear. There is an old taped repair at the upper spine area. Some pages are loose, and individual pages show edge wear, chips/tears, age toning and occasional spotting. Binding remains together overall but should be handled carefully.
