About this book
The Booming of Acre Hill and Other Reminiscences of Urban and Suburban Life by John Kendrick Bangs, illustrated by Charles Dana Gibson.
An attractive early edition of Bangs’ humorous collection of stories and observations on turn-of-the-century suburban and urban American life.
Original dark blue-green cloth binding with elaborate gilt Art Nouveau-style lettering and linear decoration to the front board, including a small suburban-house vignette.
Book shows normal age-related wear including light rubbing and wear at the corners and spine ends. Gilt decoration remains attractive and clearly visible. Interior appears generally well preserved from the pages shown, with expected age toning. Binding appears sound.
No dust jacket present.
Please review all photographs for exact condition and edition details.
A nice collectible copy for readers and collectors interested in John Kendrick Bangs, Charles Dana Gibson, American humor, Victorian/Edwardian fiction, and decorative turn-of-the-century bindings.
