About this book

Human Needs and World Christianity by Francis John McConnell. Friendship Press, New York, 1929.

Original 1929 publication by prominent Methodist bishop, theologian, and social reformer Francis John McConnell. McConnell served as president of DePauw University and later as a Methodist Episcopal bishop.

The book examines Christianity in relation to social and human needs, including economic conditions, health, liberty, human fellowship, and the worldwide Christian missionary movement. Contemporary records describe the work as 230 pages and identify it with Christian sociology and social problems.

Original green printed binding shows considerable age and wear, including edge and corner wear, creasing, rubbing, tears/chipping and discoloration. Pages show age toning and scattered spotting/foxing. The front inner hinge/gutter is weakened with visible separation, as photographed. Binding should be handled carefully.

Please review all photographs closely for exact condition. Sold as an original vintage reading/collecting copy.
