A distinctive book-arts and graphic-design publication exploring what a book can be as both an object and a way of organizing ideas.
The Open Book Project grew from an experimental book exhibition, workshops, scholarly writing, and collaborative design work. The book combines exhibition material, workshop documentation, visual material, and essays dealing with artist books, experimental publishing, book design, and the future of the physical book.
A major design feature is the unusual fold-out dust jacket, which opens into a large poster-style sheet. The book itself is richly designed and illustrated throughout.
Best fit for collectors of artist books, experimental book design, graphic design, typography, book arts, contemporary publishing, and Eastern Michigan University material.
Personalized and signed by both Leslie Atzmon and Ryan Molloy, with the original fold-out poster dust jacket.
